Club of the Month
EASTERN SUBURBS FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CLUB
of WA (INC)

Background
15 years ago in June 1994 a group of eastern
suburbs 4WDriver enthusiasts, lead by Ron Dhu, formed the
Eastern Suburbs 4WD Club of WA (Inc) with the following
objectives;
·
Preservation of the natural environment
·
Responsible and skilful 4WDriving in all
situations.
·
Enhance the social activities of 4WDrivers.
The club was incorporated in 1994 and joined
the WA4WD Assn as an affiliated club not long after that.
Since then we have grown steadily and
although now have members scattered all over north and south
of the river –we still stick with our name Eastern Suburbs!
Today we still have the Ron Dhu who has returned this year
as our President and a membership of 27 member vehicles.

Activities
We hold a range of family friendly events
throughout the year that cater for the diversity in age and
circumstances of our members, including day trips, week/end
trips and social events as well as longer and more
challenging trips e.g. the Holland Track, Canning Stock
Route, Alice Springs via the Gunbarrel Highway and
Oodnadatta Track and even a Club trip to New Zealand.
Our community activities also include
adopting and maintaining the Wandoo North Woodlands 4WD
track as a member of the Track Care WA & DEC Track Adoption
Program.

Club Meetings
Club meetings are held on the second Monday
of every month at the Main Lounge (Bowlers’ Room) Belmont
Sports & Recreation Club, Abernethy Road Cloverdale.
Meetings commence at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome to attend
up to two meetings and two club trips/events before applying
