Why not open the new year with fun but safe 4 Wheel driving? Visit our Clubs page and try a club. There is a club that suits you and your vehicle.

Club of the Month

The Wanneroo Wanderers 4WD Club Inc. was formed over 25 years ago and is still an extremely active club with the majority of members living the northern suburbs.
It is a friendly and enthusiastic group of people with many having been members since the early days of the club. Club activities tend to focus more on day, weekend and extended trips and social events rather than ‘serious’ 4wding these days.
However, we do a wide enough range of 4wding to keep it interesting and challenging for drivers of all skill levels.

Generally each month we try to do a social event, a day trip and a camping trip.  Events are planned 6-12 months in advance to ensure maximum notice and participation. We rarely stay in campgrounds, preferring to camp by rivers, bush settings or in sandhills by the beach.
So for most trips you need to be self sufficient regarding water, power, showers, toilet etc.   A variety of caravans, campers and tents are used depending on the type of trip.
Many members like to bring their dogs along on day runs and trips and we try to accommodate this where possible by choosing places where animals are permitted.

There is no restriction on the make of 4WD but all vehicles must have suitable recovery points and everyone must carry the essential recovery and safety equipment such as snatch straps, compressors and UHF radio.

The club actively encourages prospective members to attend club meetings and come along on trips and social outings as visitors. We require visitors to complete a '4x4' (4 meetings and 4 events) before joining to ensure the club is suitable for their needs and interests.
Fees are $85 per family per year + $25 nomination fee.
The membership year starts in September.

The club is coordinated by a committee of members elected at the Annual General Meeting and is run in accordance with the Club Constitution.
A quarterly magazine is produced to keep members informed of past and upcoming events, interesting 4wd articles and stories, news about the club and 4WD Association matters.

If you wish to obtain further information about the club or to find out about upcoming events, please feel free to contact us at : ww4wdclub@westnet.com.au
