40 years active is a huge milestone… a great achievement for any club.
The Geraldton Four Wheel Drive Club is one of Western Australia’s oldest 4WD Clubs.
Established in April 1976.
This Club shows that a group of people who enjoy life, are willing to foster new memberships, who offer friendship, training and safe off road venturing for the sheer enjoyment of going bush, will keep a club vital and enduring for many, many years.
The heart of any 4WD Club are the Trip Leaders and it’s a pleasure to see that the original President from 1976, Tony Turner (in the hat) is still an active Trip Leader.
As in all WA 4WD clubs, trips organised are not just day trips to the local area, but also extended trips that can range to anywhere in the State…and beyond.
Part of this year’s celebrations was an evening at their club house with current President Leonie Courtney leading the proceedings, with members past and present, and visiting dignitaries Ian Blayney MLA, and Bruce Brinkley, Chairman of the WA 4WD Association there to offer their congratulations.
Club meetings are held at 7.30pm on 2nd Wednesday of each month at The Residency 321 Marine Tce Geraldton.
Visitors are welcome at the Club meetings and are encouraged to join them on at least one trip before joining.
