GETAWAY 4WDRIVE CLUB

Getaway Four Wheel Drive Club Inc. was founded in
2001, by a group of enthusiastic and experienced four wheel
drivers with the following aims:-
- Encourage responsible, skilful and safe use of four wheel
drive vehicles with a respect for the environment and the
preservation of historical and indigenous sites.
- Enhancing social activities and sharing off road
adventures, with like minded people.
Trips and activities are run through out the year with day
trips, weekends and the occasional extended trips into
remote areas. i.e Canning Stock Route, Gibb river road and
the like .

Club trips include following in the footsteps of our
renowned explorers such as Giles, Frank Hann, Alf Canning,
Len Beadell, and David Carnegie are just a few.

A number of trips also include abandoned towns and various
parts of the Goldfields, Woodlines and in particular, the
annual wildflower trips in early spring.

Visitors are welcome to our club meetings which are held
every 4th Wednesday of each month excepting December. We
meet at 8pm in the Bedford Scout hall, Beaufort Park,
Drummond Street, Bedford.
