Compact 4WD Club

History
In 2004 the WA4WDA held an open day for Compact
(Soft-roader) 4WD’s with the aim of starting a club for
them. The club was eventually formed in 2005 when in July
the Subaru 4WD club assisted the “compacts” along the
power-line track – much to the surprise of drivers of larger
4WDs.
In 2009 we are still going strong and there are 22 member
vehicles in the club with vehicles ranging from old Sierras
and Drovers through to new vehicles like the Honda CRV and
Kia Sportage, though not forgetting the Toyota/Nissan
rivalry of the Rav 4 and X-trail owners. Members participate
in a number of day trips - Lancelin, Dwellingup or Tim’s
Thickett, and weekend trips – Congelin Dam, Baladjie Rock
Jaurdi Station and our first long range trip was along part
of the Holland Track.

Meetings
The club holds it’s monthly meetings, the 1st Monday of
every month, at the East Victoria Park Family and Community
Centre on the cnr of Kent and Gloucester Sts, East Victoria
Park, which is centrally located to suit members from the
metropolitan area, the meetings start at 7.30pm. It is hoped
that the membership will increase to the point that the club
can be split into two branches, with one based north and the
other south of the river

Purpose
The purpose for this club is so people can learn
the capabilities of their vehicles and to show they are very
capable of doing most things that a normal 4wd does, in
standard configuration, without the need to spend huge
amounts of money on their vehicles.
