Community Service Report

Windy Harbour:- Western Australia, Saturday 23rd Jan 2010.

Windy Harbour is a holiday settlement situated on 190 hectares of a Crown Reserve, surrounded by D'entrecasteaux National Park on the south coast of Western Australia about 90km south of Manjimup and 27km south of Northcliffe. Approximately 220 cottages have been developed on individual leases since the early 1900's. Leasehold tenure, seasonal occupation and a strong community spirit have generated a settlement of unique character.

Project:-

2. To inspect LROC’s previous work at Fish Creek in D'entrecasteaux National Park
a. Wind break fencing built in 2009 (see photo) for dune restoration at a beach access blowout
b. Rubber matting laid in conjunction with the above

3. In co-operation with the Department of Environment and Conservation, Shire of Manjimup, and the Community of Windy Harbour, the Land-Rover Owners Club of W. A.
